The 5 Senses

In tantric vajrayana mahayana

buddhist practice, the intrinsic five wisdom aspects of our mind are experienced as natural mind. The five elements as the natural world, and our five senses as vital offerings of light energy to the natural mind and natural world in union, or inseparable. The sense of taste is the essence of the earth. The hearing is the essence of air. The sight is the essence or radiance ( fire). The touch is the essence of water. And the smell is the essence of space. These five senses and their objects are continually offered in ritual practice with mantras, mudras and meditation, using visualizations of mandalas of light and all sentient beings as light bodies or deities in pure boundless space, non self. Practicing in this way, one should have no attachment to this process of valuing voidness or non self as mahamudra, the great view. Ah women !
